Virtual instrument or sampling?? - there are literally tons of drum packages and most are vst and sample based at the same time - bfd from fxpansion - battery 2 from ni - drumkit from hell these are among the best and the most known

Come to think of it... - check out bfd by fxpansion. bfd never bitches, he wears his headphones, and plays to a click like no other. 8-)

Drums for the non-drummer - i would recommend fxpansion;s bfd. i have switched to that, and never looked back. you have complete control, and you have pre made grooves, for the non drummer. i have spent time listening to my fav bands drums, and sometimes,

Midi it works for strings too. make sure you have good patches though....

Fxpansion bfd - i dont know about cubase or protools, but other contender for your money is usually dfh or dfhs. drummer from hell & dfh superior

Fxpansion bfd - does anyone have any experience with this? can this be used on either cubase le or protools le? does bfd have any issues on either of these? oh, and is bfd as good as everyone seems to think it is? what else is out there in bfd's lea

I dont know about cubase or protools, but other contender for your money is usually dfh or dfhs. Drummer from hell & dfh superior...

Looking for the best drum simulator - drumagog! you can tap in a beat, and then replace the taps with great drum samples... bfd is supposed to be pretty awesome too...

Looking for the best drum simulator - hello fellows... i'm looking to buy a piece of software to be a decent substitute for a drummer in my band (of course until we get a real one), what would you say is the best there is on the market right now? th

Making midi drums sound as good as possible - while you're waiting, there are some good freeware kits, including the natural studios free kit (not to mention the commercial version!), and kingston's ruff rider and easy rider kits. greg

Re: i need some help with levels and gain staging (i think). - thanks for all the replies. i think things are somewhat squared away. i believe i may have been giving my monitors too hot of a signal. wayne: all the drums were fxpansion's bfd program

If you are getting clipping but not showing up on your wave form, my question is...Do you have a outboard mic pre if so you are probably overdriving that before it gets to tape. that is the only thing...
