every time i start my think pad up I get window that flickers back and forth with a circle stating off and a l stating on. However, it frozen and won't let me do anything? Any suggestions...

Hello all,
here is the situation:
1. Reloaded windows 98 se fine.
2. Video screen will not enlarge past 640 x 480 ish. Ok driver time.
3. Installed drivers from ibm.Com. Windows says they are not the right ones, installed anyway,...

Just a quick note to say thanks victor for all your efforts.
for the record, i successfully recovered the admin password on my thinkpad 600e using the simple non-driven circuit, the 24rf08 v2.0b reader and ibm pass lite 2.1.

I rearranged the display and now it won't work.I got the dreaded ''floating zero'' message and now it ''cannot open file''.
it is version 1.4.1.0, running on a ibm thinkpad 600e, with windows2000.
i see where some people have deleted the display...

I have a notebook,ibm thinkpad 600e,with a dvdrom sr8174 in it.
it's firmware is cty7.
it can read dvd-r,but can not read dvd+r.
my friend just upgrade his sr8172 firmware,and his 8172 can read dvd+r/dvd-r now.
