Can I successfully replace the ST 50 wind transducer mast unit with an ST 60 mast head transducera?

My ST 50 wind transducer is not moving and I want to replace it with an ST 60 mast head transducer. I understand that the ST 60 mast unit will simply replace the ST 50 mast unit...is that correct....
