I have often wondered why triumph chose to fit twin su carbs on the sprint instead of fuel injection.

The dolomite sprint was a remarkable car in the 1970s, to my calculation, only three triumph's offered better outright performance than the sprint.
and all three were from the tr range - tr5, tr6 and tr8.

I've just fitted a recon mk2 engine to my gt6 - everything's new, block and head, manifold, rocker assembly, timing chain etc. The only used items are the camshaft - reputedly a 150 bhp model bought at stoneleigh triumph show... Theresa gave birth monday to eleanor at 10:47 am, she was 7lb 3oz and 20'' long. Mom and baby are doing good.

Something i have always found slightly strange is why triumph did not choose to badge the dolomite sprint clearly with a 16 valve badge.

I have owned my tr5 for over twenty years during which time i have had various parts of it fully restored. The chassis was perfectly restored some ten years ago.
