Zoom G2, has loud distorted noise

My G2 is only producing a loud distorted noise. It has the correct power supply and results are the same when I attempted powering it with batteries. It worked fine the last time I used it and it stays plugged into a Furman power condtioner, which is unplugged when not in use. Any help anyone can give me with this would be most appreciated. Thanks.
