Audio problem with cable TV but not with DVD

Hi, I did not have my email address attached to my last question: We have the Denon AVR-1707 and yesterday we watched cable tv and all was fine. Today we turned it back on, but there was no sound when we turned it on. We know it is not the speakers because the sound works when we play the dvd. All the wires are hooked up just as they always were. The input is set on TV/DBS as it is supposed to be. I know it is probably just a button we pushed by accident. Please help!!
