time stretching

I want to use the time stretching funtion on my spd-s, but whem i change the tempo 2 or more bpm up or down, it makes a noise and the sound gets a poor quality.....what am i doing bad?? thanks?

Nothing wrong. its just a problem with time stretchig. It stretches the sound by putting tiny gaps in between the sound wave after you have adjusted even a little. Not as sophisticated a piece of software i guess. I would recommen ou try stretching the sound first on cubase or soundforge software before importing it via SD card onto your SPDS.
